Nach der erfolgreichen ersten Edition der LICHTSTRÖME während der Bundesgartenschau Koblenz („BUGA“) im Mai 2011 entsteht im Rahmen des BUGA Festivals 2012 ein zweites Mal ein temporärer Kunstparcours. Zu dem Thema „Kunstformen der Natur“ haben die Kurator/inn/en Bettina Pelz und Tom Groll Künstler/innen eingeladen, die sich in ihrem Werk mit den Schnittstellen von Natur und Kunst befassen. Vom kurfürstlichen Schloss, entlang des Rheins bis zur Festung Ehrenbreitstein entstehen zehn verschiedene, großformatige Installationen. Gemeinsam ist allen Skulpturen, Projektionen und Interventionen, dass Licht einer ihrer Werkstoffe ist, so dass sie ab Einbruch der Dunkelheit zu sehen sind.
Der Parcours ist vom 11. bis zum 20. Mai 2012, täglich von 21.30 Uhr bis 24.00 Uhr geöffnet.

After the successful first edition of LICHTSTROEME during the Federal Horticultural Show (“BUGA”) in Koblenz in May 2011 and now, as part of the BUGA Festival 2012, for the second time a temporary art trail is established. In accordance with the subject “Art Forms in Nature” the curators Bettina Pelz and Tom Groll invited artists who ponder the interface between nature and arts in their works. From the Electoral Palace along the Rhine banks to the Kaiser Wilhelm I Statue to the Fortress Ehrenbreitstein 10 large-scale installations are implemented. All of the sculptures, projections and interventions make use of artificial light as one of their materials, so that they can be seen after dusk only.
The art trail is open to the public from May 11th to 20th, 2012, daily from 21.30 h to midnight.
